You Spin Me Right Round Baby

One weekend in early February (it may have even been in January) we went to Roseville to do a little shopping after visiting Grandpa in Sacramento.  The Galleria has a beautiful carousel, and my parents could not wait to get Scarlett on it.
Scarlett marched her cute little self right in to the line and patiently waited her turn.
When it came time to ride- though Grandma and Granddad were ecstatic, my Scarbaby was a little unsure.
The first time the horse took its plunge, it took her breath her away.
The next time she came around she had sheer terror in her eyes.  Poor little baby.
Things were a little better once Granddad was holding her...
but I think she was afraid he was going to put her back on the horse (probably because every time they came around I yelled "just put her back on!  She'll be fine!").
Scarlett has never been so happy to see something come to a stop.
We'll try the carousel again in a few more months.

Twenty-Six

My twenty-sixth birthday was absolutely wonderful.  I have an amazing family, and many generous friends who spoiled me rotten!  I loved the texts, emails, calls, facebook messages, and all the random treats and gifts brought to my doorstep (like hand-dipped chocolate strawberries and caramel coconut pretzels with chocolate and toasted marshmallow, YUM).
After a good early morning workout, Rob made delicious french toast and gave me my gifts.  I spent the morning with this little girl, as usual.  Is she not the most beautiful little person you have ever seen?
At noon I headed to Greenhaus Spa for a 90 minute hot stone massage.  Heaven.  Lupe and I are officially best friends.
After a long hot shower, we went to St. Helena for dinner at Pizzeria TraVigne with my parents.
Our server brought me a birthday gelato.  A mix of mint chip, and Coconut Almond Joy.  Delicious.
Scarlett could not wait to get her hands on the ice cream.

We stopped by my parents' so I could open my gifts- though I am pretty sure Scarlett opened the majority of them.
Every day is like Christmas in this little girl's world.
One year older, and hopefully wiser, too.  Thanks, again, for all the love.

Gymnastics Zone

One of the high lights of our week is going to Scarlett's gymnastics class.  We brought Grandma one week so I could snap some pictures... little did I know you aren't allowed to take pictures while you're there, so I snapped a few as quickly as I could!
Doing flips on the bar.
Scarlett loves the trampoline- it is her absolute favorite part of gymnastics.

We take the class with our handsome little friend, Ira.

Nothing makes this little monkey happier than being able to run around, jump around, and dance!
