Sydney has a bit of a love affair going with Jake, the Neverland Pirate. She affectionately calls him "Jake and Booyah" (she started calling pirate booty, "pirate booyah" many months ago, so that translated over). What else was there to do but have a Jake and the Neverland Pirates party for her second birthday?
We started with cute treasure map-like invitations delivered to each of her friends.
We met at the park near our house on January 18th and had some yummy pizza.
Syd was the sweetest hostess. Each friend who arrived at the park was greeted with a huge smile and an excited "hello!"
After the kids played for a while, we began our hunt. I thought I was so clever with my little rhymes, and making the kids search high and low. But hey, their ages ranged from 1-4, and they were really not interested. They humored me, and Scarlett thought it was fun.

These cute kids were pretty excited about the treasure chest full of pirate goodies (eye patches, bandannas, cold coins and silver chocolates)... and "frinkle donuts". I asked Sydney a few days before the party what flavor cupcakes she wanted and she very seriously said, "I no want cupcakes. Donuts! With frinkles!" Your wish is my command, Magoo.
Before sweet Connor left the party he wanted to make sure Sydney opened his gift. She was very excited about her Jake pirate ship.
What's a birthday without a little lovin' from your buddy James?
This handsome pirate was in silver chocolate heaven.
Sydney carried some of her gifts all the way home after her party. She sang "happy birthday to me!" and was so sweet and appreciative to everyone who came to help her celebrate her birthday. Sydney is a sweet and tender girl, with a bunch of sass and attitude mixed in. We absolutely love and adore you, and are so grateful you are part of our family.
