Christmas Day was a little unconventional this year. We docked in Cozumel, Mexico, got off the ship, walked to the ferry, and rode over to Carmen del Playa. We spent a week in Cozumel two years ago and absolutely loved it- but since we felt we had already seen what there was to see there, we decided to venture out to Tulum and explore the Mayan Ruins.
Syd Magoo was such a trooper- sneaking little cat naps here and there.
Syd loved her new ride.
The ruins were beautiful. We had an amazing tour guide, a member of the LDS church, Alma, who was very knowledgeable about Mayan culture. It was a wonderful way to spend Christmas, and I really felt the Spirit strongly while we were there.
After hiking around the ruins in the hot sun, we drove down to a beautiful beach, ate some lunch, and most of the group went snorkeling. I hung back, with a few others, and just enjoyed the beach with my little babe.
Sydney's first time at the beach. She kept digging her little toes in.

Johnny and Sasha took Sydney to the water.
White beach, blue water. Just perfect.
The brave snorkelers back from their adventure. I was impressed that Scarlett wanted to go. She rode on Rob's back while he snorkeled. She thought that was pretty cool.
So. In. Love. With. This. Girl.
Sydney was hilarious on the drive back to Carmen del Playa- she was mesmerized by our bus driver. She just stared and stared.
Busy city streets.
Taking the ferry back to Cozumel.
Our "big boat".
Christmas dinner was wonderful... and entertaining... Of course.
